Madisen turned 8 years old in May. Earlier this year - back in January -she told us that she did not want to be baptized. We told her that it was fine and that we would support her in whatever she decided to do. Now- we really were not worried. We knew that it could take Madisen 5 weeks, 5 months or even 5 years to decide to be baptized - still - we wanted it to be her decision. She decided right after her birthday that she wanted to be baptized. We were happy - #1 because it was her decision and not ours. Here are pictures from the Sunday she had her bishop's interview. She was nervous, but she did a great job!

So we decided that we really hated the carpet in our front room. We had a few dollars left and decided to replace the carpet in there as well. When we pulled up the carpet, even the bare floor looked better than the carpet did. Jared worked super hard on all our remodeling and I am really glad that he is so "handy"....
First day of 2nd gade

We made it through 2nd grade!!
Ok - so Madisen had this gi-normous project due the week before 2nd grade ended. I was so glad to be finished with 2nd grade it's not even funny!!! Anyway - she had to do an animal report. She chose to do her report on the Jaguar. She had to draw pictures and actually write a research paper. I swear her teacher should be teaching Jr. High and not 2nd grade. Anyway - she also had to make a diarama. I think it turned out really great. We were proud that Madisen worked hard and we were really glad when this was all over!!!
Yes too much has happened in the last two plus weeks. Our computer is currently on the outs and I am hoping to update my blog tomorrow. I hope Jared can fix the darn thing. I will post several things I promise with pictures and all!!!
